This fixture was created for an entry in a New Jersey home. It was fabricated from bronze screen draped over a copper tubing frame. The screen strips were hemmed with a double fold on all four edges. The strips were cut long and a hole was placed in the center of each strip. They were then placed on the frame overlapping each other. The fixture was then hung and trimmed, like a hair cut, until it reached the appropriate shape and length. Its final dimensions were 32” in diameter and 16” high, from the lowest strip to the peak of the dome. Since there was no wall switch in the location, a brass pull wand was created to turn the light on and off. It measured 12" high x 30" in diameter. It can use three 60w candelabra base bulbs.
