This is a part of my night light series. I call this one Night Sentries. It is fabricated from pieces and parts that have been laying around the shop since the pandemic lock down. The glow tubes are made from copper tubing with a scallop cut on a band saw and then finished with a oscillating drum sander. There is a 20w equivalent, LED bulb below the scallop. Each tube features a rolled, bronze screen diffuser. There is another screen disc diffuser at the top of the tube. The curly strips all fit into copper tubes embedded in the the base. All the metal has been oxidized and waxed. The base is fabricated from elm with an ebony stain. There is an aluminum box, inside the base, that holds all the wiring and the full-range dimmer switch. The knob is on the back of the lamp. All copper pieces, and the wood base, have several coats of a hard floor wax. It measures 9"wide x 5" deep x 12" tall at the tallest curly piece.
