This was a challenging project. A client, that already had one of my lamps, asked me if I had any ideas for a way to set up a flat screen TV on a stand that could be moved out of the way when they weren’t using it. I came up with an idea for a low, walnut and copper, easel that could be easily slid to one side of the room when not in use. The legs are copper tubing that are weighted with shot to help weight it prevent it from easily tipping over. There are felt pads on the bottom of the angled feet that help it to slide on the hardwood floors. The walnut and copper frame on the back screws into the TV’s mounting holes that would normally be used to mount it on a wall. The walnut is sanded and oiled with a wax top coat. The copper has a rich, dark, hand rubbed patina which also has a wax top coat. It perfectly met the needs of my client.
